How many staff do we need to have before we can use the service?

One. SPNT provides a service to all employers. We have clients with two staff to clients with 25,000+.

How much extra work will this create for our HR/Payroll and accounts departments?

In all cases to date outsourcing your salary packaging to SPNT or engaging SPNT to provide a new salary packaging service has never resulted in extra work, in fact in a majority of cases SPNT have saved valuable resources in both the HR and accounts departments by simply removing staff enquiries. A majority of the resources savings is in the removal of all supplier payments (Fuel, regos, insurance, servicing, leases etc...), staff reimbursements and of course FBT and GST reporting. SPNT will provide you with a dedicated BRM (Business Relationship Manager) who will be on site when required and always contactable to answer any questions. We don’t have 1300 numbers for all different departments you simply call your BRM and they answer your questions.

As an additional service we can assist in cashing employees out of company vehicles (increasing employee salaries to allow them to purchase and run their own vehicle through salary packaging) and into salary packages saving both the company and employee a great deal of money. How much does the service cost the employer to establish?

$0.00, nothing, nil, zip. Our service comes at absolutely no cost to the employer. SPNT charges the employees as they use the service. These fees are tax deductable and are clearly printed on each salary package contract and form part of the salary package deductions.

Is there a contract that needs to be signed between SPNT and the employer to begin the service?

SPNT requires a MOU or Memorandum of Understanding. This document clearly and simply states the services we are required to provide to the employer and employees, the requirements on the employers and the requirements on the employees.

It is not a contract that locks the employer into a term.

At SPNT we strongly believe that if we are not providing the service we do not deserve your business. SPNT is always happy to provide a complete list of employers that you can contact at any time for references.

How long will it take to implement the service to all staff?

Depending on the number and location of staff the rollout of the service can be completed within the day or departmentally over a period of time. SPNT is happy to deal with clients who have 2 staff or 200,000 staff. We have implemented services to clients with 22 different locations throughout Australia and we have been there in person to talk to each of their staff; clients with one location and 3500 staff; rollouts in auditoriums holding over 500 staff at one time and even a rollout to labours under a bridge out the back of....
